Strike threat forces management to negotiating table

NCC management have been forced back to the negotiating table to discuss Wojtek's reinstatement. This goes to show that collective action in the face of injustice makes a difference.

NCC management and UCU Tower Hamlets met last Friday (24 April) to discuss the dispute and proposed upcoming strike action. Both parties have agreed to continue the dialogue with a view to resolving the dispute. Further talks are scheduled later this week.

If no progress is made towards a satisfactory settlement, strike action may be taken on 14 May 2026.
