Strike threat forces management to negotiating table
NCC management have been forced back to the negotiating table to discuss Wojtek's reinstatement. This goes to show that collective action in the face of injustice makes a difference. NCC management and UCU Tower Hamlets met last Friday (24 April) to discuss the dispute and proposed upcoming strike action. MASSIVE VOTE TO STRIKE
UCU members at the Arbour Square/Tower Hamlets branch of New City College (NCC) have overwhelmingly supported a strike ballot for action, which closed on 13 February, in their fight against the unfair dismissal of Wojtek Dmochowski. Over 92% of members declared their willingness to take industrial action consisting of a strike .
